These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CitizenshipShortcut, operated by TaxUS Enterprises LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using CitizenshipShortcut, whether on the website or the iOS/Android mobile app, you agree to these Terms. Website and mobile offers are distinct as explained below.
1. Educational purpose and disclaimer
CitizenshipShortcut is an independent educational platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, or any U.S. government agency. Civics questions are sourced from the publicly available USCIS civics test bank.
CitizenshipShortcut is for practice and educational purposes only, not legal or immigration advice, an eligibility determination, or a guarantee of passing the naturalization interview. We do not file or submit USCIS forms on your behalf. Optional guided N-400 drafts and writing feedback are preparation aids, not official filings. You remain responsible for checking official requirements and any material you use. For legal immigration questions, consult a licensed immigration attorney. AI does not replace a human interpreter where USCIS requires one.
2. Accounts
Some website features require a website account. Website checkout can occur before account creation. You are responsible for maintaining account security and must be at least 13 years old to use CitizenshipShortcut. The mobile app works without an email/password account; optional mobile accounts use Clerk. Mobile sign-in does not cloud-sync local study or immigration information or merge the login account with the separate RevenueCat purchase identity.
3. Website plans and pricing
The website offers:
- Free — No charge. Includes the free diagnostic test, a basic civics assessment, 3 sample questions with Officer Marcus, and one complete round of Who Wants to Be a Citizen in the round size you choose.
- Lifetime All-Access — $29 one-time payment for website access, with no recurring charge. Includes Officer Marcus, unlimited game-show practice, and The Forge: Legacy — Advanced Edition.
Additional website study offers include the Solo Pass and Family Pack, with the price, included access, and profile limit shown at checkout. Family study profiles share the buyer’s website login and have independent learning histories; they are not separate login accounts.
Legacy website subscription plans sold before July 2026 remain active under their original terms until canceled. Legacy subscribers keep full access while their subscription is active. Website prices are in USD. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing website subscribers.
4. Website billing and mobile store purchases
Website: payments are processed securely by Stripe. Premium All-Access is a single$29 charge with no recurring billing. We do not advertise a new monthly plan or free trial. Legacy website subscriptions retain their original billing schedule and terms. Only existing legacy subscribers authorize recurring Stripe charges under their original plan until cancellation.
Native mobile app: purchases use Apple App Store or Google Play with RevenueCat for a one-time lifetime mobile unlock, not a recurring mobile subscription. The applicable store displays the price, currency, taxes, and purchase terms before payment. Mobile and website purchases are separate offers; purchasing one is not a promise of access to the other. Store restoration and purchase verification apply to native access.
5. Website guarantee, cancellation, and mobile refunds
Website Lifetime All-Access money-back guarantee: if you prepare with CitizenshipShortcut and do not pass your naturalization interview, email support@citizenshipshortcut.com within 30 days of your interview result and we will refund your eligible website All-Access payment in full. This website guarantee applies to the website Lifetime All-Access one-time purchase; it is not a guarantee of passing and does not automatically apply to native store purchases.
Legacy website subscriptions: you may cancel at any time through the website’s Manage Subscription control, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Review your original plan’s renewal amount, billing date, and any applicable trial end in the portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with access retained until then. No refunds are issued for a website subscription billing period once it has begun.
Mobile purchases: the lifetime mobile unlock has no recurring subscription to cancel. Refund requests follow the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play process and terms, subject to applicable law. Account deletion does not itself refund purchases. RevenueCat customer-data deletion is a separate support request that may affect lifetime access. See mobile account deletion and other data controls.
6. Free content
Some content is available free of charge, including a free sample civics question, the daily email newsletter, and certain practice tests. We reserve the right to change what is offered for free at any time. Website and mobile free content may differ.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, or distribute account credentials
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the platform’s content or code
- Use CitizenshipShortcut in any way that violates applicable law
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without refund.
8. Intellectual property
Original content, including lesson text, explanations, app design, and branding, is owned by TaxUS Enterprises LLC. USCIS civics questions are in the public domain. You may not reproduce or redistribute our original content without written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaxUS Enterprises LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of CitizenshipShortcut, including failure to pass the naturalization interview. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
