American Government — Rights and Responsibilities · Question 57 of 128

When must all men register for the Selective Service?

Practice answer: Between 18 and 26

Why this is the answer

Most male U.S. citizens and male immigrants must register with the Selective Service between ages 18 and 26. Registration is generally required within 30 days of turning 18 or arriving in the United States, with some exceptions.

On the 2026 citizenship test, a USCIS officer asks up to 20 questions from the official 128-question pool — answering 12 correctly passes.
